UCPA Natyanjali 2024

The Naatyanjali festival, organized by UCPA annually in Hyderabad, serves as a platform for dancers from all across India. This year, on March 8, 2024, during the Mahashivaratri celebrations, we witnessed incredible talent. Participants showcased their diverse dance forms, captivating and mesmerizing the audience with their performances.

June 26th, 2022 – As part of the Industry Connect series, UCPA was pleased to host Mr. Sunil Punjabi, Business Head at Tata Elxsi, who addressed a curated group of UCPians. He shared his insights on “Design Thinking.”

Sunil, an engineering graduate in Electronics & Telecommunications from Bangalore University, also holds a diploma in computer applications and management from NMIMS, Mumbai University. He has dedicated his professional life to business development, key account management, and client servicing in the Technology and Design domains across various industries.
December 12th, 2021 – UCPA was pleased to host the second event in the Kalanubhav series, an experiential learning platform focused on the Indian Classical Dance – Kathak, held exclusively for UCPAians. Dr. Tina Tambe, a Kathak exponent and Doordarshan “A” grade artiste, led the event. She has earned a Ph.D. from Vikram University in Ujjain for her research on “Meera ke Kavya main Nritya Tatva – Kathak ke Sandarbh Main” (Dance elements in Meera’s poetry – in the context of Kathak). As the Artistic Director of the Ninad Center for the Performing Arts, Dr. Tina currently teaches Kathak and trains the next generation of dancers. Her insights and knowledge allowed the students of UCPA to broaden their horizons and explore the nuances of this beautiful art form.

As part of our Industry Connect Program, UCPA was pleased to invite Prof. Manish Singhal, Professor-Organizational Behavior at XLRI Jamshedpur to address a select group of UCPians.


Prof. Manish spoke on ‘Emotional Intelligence: Different Strokes for Different Folks’ on October 31, 2021.

This session extended a new dimension to the very fundamentals of emotional intelligence and aid towards a deep rooted understanding and appreciation of the subject.


On 26th September 2021, Dr. Indira Parikh, Ex-Dean and Prof IIM-A, Founding President-FLAME(Foundation for Liberal and Management Education) University addressed a curated set of UCPAians about an integrated approach of Liberal education with Performing Arts.


Her insights has paved way to both the students and parents of UCPA to have a wonderful work-life balance, thereby leading to a qualitative lifestyle.

UCPA proudly presents Jashn – A Bollywood Musical Celebration on 1st February 2020 at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Hyderabad.

The celebrations would commence at 6 PM.

On the same evening, UCPA shall also be launching its first-ever Integrated Performing Arts platform – ANTARANG: a one-stop-shop solution to Universities, Colleges, Institutions, and Corporates- specifically targeted towards students, faculties and employees.

An integrated platform that would help you discover your “inner self” through performing arts.

Nihaarika’s Bharatanatyam Arangetram

A ten day Dance – Theater workshop was conducted by UCPA in collaboration with Nishumbita, a noted  theater group from the city of Hyderabad & Secunderabad.

During the program, the participants got to learn the various important aspects of dance and theater. Apart from warm up sessions and learning dance movements, they were also  introduced to script writing, dialogue delivery, voice throw and also how to intersperse dance sequences with theater.

The workshop helped them enhance their vocal skills, expressions, body language, flexibility and also creativity.

On the concluding day they showcased their skills in a house concert organised at the UCPA headquarters. Film actor Amit Sharma was a special invitee on this occasion who interacted with the participants.  Before winding up all the participants exchanged their views over lunch organised at the UCPA campus.

A small AV compiled by the students of UCPA was played where the participants shared their experiences at the workshop and thanked UCPA for putting together such a wonderful program for them.

9th Feb 2019, a day to earmark in the history of UCPA and Hyderabad.

Department of Language & Culture, Government of Telangana recognised the need for upkeeping the yesteryear’s retro music. In collaboration with UCPA, the Department of Language & Culture brought together a mega musical evening – Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhaana, a musical tribute to the genius of all times – KISHORE KUMAR.

The show was open to public and saw terrific response and accolades. The co-sponsors to the show comprised of angel investors and corporates.

“The Hindu” – played a pivot role being the print media partners followed by Andhra Jyoti, Namaste Telangana, Vaartha, Greater Hyderabad, Eenadu and Saakshi.

The digital media partners were Trinet TV who streamed the show live.

UCPA recently organized the fourth edition of NATYANJALI HYDERABAD – Dance to Diversity on the 4th of March 2019 at Shringeri Shankarmutt, Nallakunta, Hyderabad on the occasion of Mahasivaratri Celebrations.
Performances in Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Mohiniattam, Manipuri and Bharatanatyam was presented on a single platform by artistes from Mumbai, Orissa, Kolkatta and Telangana.
The event was a grand success with audience in full numbers and we are look forward to organize more!

UCPA is happy to announce the third edition of NATYANJALI HYDERABAD – Dance to Diversity on the 13th of Feb 2018 at Shringeri Shankarmutt, Nallakunta, Hyderabad on the occasion of Mahasivaratri Celebrations.
Performances in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Mohiniattam and Kathak  will be presented on a single platform by artistes from Mumbai, Chattisgarh, different parts of Kerala and from Hyderabad.
